Support for Local Government

Grants for Local Government

Our Heritage Grants Program is only open to private owners or community groups. Local government heritage projects are supported by some LotteryWest and Regional Development and Lands programs, including Royalties for Regions.

Local Heritage Toolkit

The Local Heritage Toolkit is a result of the Supporting Local Governments Project developed by the Heritage Chairs and Officials of Australia and New Zealand (HCOANZ).  This project aims to improve the capacity of local governments across Australia and New Zealand to protect local heritage places.

The following documents provide valuable advice and guidance on a range of issues including strategic, statutory and non-statutory actions that will assist local government to encourage community support and build capacity to deliver good heritage management.
